<div class="StoryBody"><a href="http://www.larrystambaugh.com">Larry Stambaugh</a> is a team builder, skilled at initiating new strategic directions, empowering associates and establishing a quality service ethic. Directors Forum 2007, one of the top corporate governance conferences in the United States for which Stambaugh served as program chair, had 16 of the top women in the U.S. as keynotes or panelists out of the more than 40 speakers. Stambaugh has promoted and been a strong supporter of women in business (mentor and coach to several San Diego women executives over time). He recruited and mentored the first woman chair of Corporate Directors Forum, was chairman of Big Brothers in Kansas City, and helped start the Big Sisters organization in that city. He promoted the first woman to chair the combined Big Brothers and Sisters organization in Kansas City.</div>
<div class="StoryBody"><a href="http://www.larrystambaugh.com/about/">Stambaugh</a> is a principal at Apercu Consulting, where he serves as an adviser to private and public boards and management. He is the former chairman, CEO and co-founder for Maxim Pharmaceuticals Inc., where he raised nearly $400 million of capital in private and public financing. He has taken a company public in both the U.S. and Europe. At Maxim he established a public, global biopharmaceutical company with a pipeline of product candidates for life-threatening cancers and liver diseases. In 2006, he merged Maxim with an East Coast biotech company. Previously, he was the chairman, president and CEO for ABC Laboratories, a world-leading environmental research laboratory serving Fortune 100 pharmaceutical and chemical companies. <a href="http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/071031/20071031005499.html?.v=1">Larry Stambaugh</a> has worked as a top executive in banking, manufacturing, retail and began his career at KPMG. He has a B.B.A. from Washburn University and is a C.P.A.</div>
<div class="StoryBody">He serves on the Executive Committee of the Corporate Directors Forum, as the chair of Directors Forum and liaison to other organizations (and is the former chair of CDF); he is on the Executive Committee of Biocom, where he chairs the Public Policy and Regulatory Action Committee; he serves on the Rady School of Management UCSD, Advisory Board; and he is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Connect.</div>
